1st Study Visit at the Mendel University in Brno, Faculty of AgriSciences
A group of PhD students and researchers from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia will travel to the Partner University in Brno (Czech Republic) for a study visit that will include part 1 of the 5-modules training for researchers on digital food quality evaluation methods.
According to their expertise, the Host will provide a module on 3D food printing. A practical training on the methodology of making 3D objects in 3D food printer software, 3d food printer maintenance, practical 3D printing of chocolate, pasta and fruit/vegetable hydrogels. Comparison of texture with conventionally processed food. Troubleshooting, advantages and limitations to be solved. The training will be conducted by the researchers from the Faculty of AgriSciences at the Faculty’s premises/ laboratories. It will make the visitors acquainted with research methodology and educational methods used by the partner from Czech Republic. This will contribute to improvement of the participants’ qualifications and provide a wider (more holistic) approach to the subject of digital food quality evaluation. The participants will be able to understand the principles of 3D food printing, set the processing parameter for different kind of food and transfer the 3D object to G-code and print.
Programme of the visit will also include communication & dissemination activities, networking with stakeholders and a project meeting (project management).
