„FOOD Quality in Digital Age” during the 3Seas Local Government Congress and Economic Forum

On June 12 th and 13 th , 2024, Prof. Bartosz Sołowiej – the Coordinator of the „FOOD Quality in Digital Age” network – took part in the 3Seas Local Government Congress and Economic Forum in Lublin, Poland, where he presented the project during a seminar entitled „High quality food”.

The panel was attended by: the Vice-Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship – Marek Wojciechowski, Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Biotechnology of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin – prof. Waldemar Gustaw, prof. Igor Tomašević from the University of Belgrade, Prof. Anna Berthold-Pluta from the Institute of Food Sciences, Department of Food Technology and Evaluation of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the president of the Management Board of the Polish Association of
Processors and Producers of Organic Products „Polska Ekologia” – Paweł Krajmas. Panel participants discussed innovations in shaping and assessing the quality of food of animal, plant and organic origin. The discussion gathered an audience of 83 representatives of academic and business community.

The 3Seas Local Government Congress and Economic Forum is an international event addressed to government administration, science and business sectors from 13 member states of the 3Seas Initiative: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary, strategic partners: the European Union, the United States, Japan and partner regions from Ukraine and Moldova. It was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
