„FOOD Quality in Digital Age” during the events in Slovakia!

We are happy to inform that the project “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” has been presented during two events in Slovakia in October this year.

On October 10-11, 2024 representatives from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra – a Partner in the “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” network – presented the project during the FOODBIOTECH scientific conference that took place in Vyhne, Slovakia. In the lecture prepared by Miroslav Kročko, Katarína Poláková and Andrea Mesárošová from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, the authors shared insights into the project’s activities and ongoing research.

On 8 November, 2024 a group of 34 students and 3 researchers from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra took part in a study visit to Cloetta company located in Levice. This multinational company specializes in certain confectionery products and successfully expands its products to foreign markets, especially in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands and Great Britain. Several members of the company’s management spoke to the students, who presented the product portfolio, business model and vision for the future. Subsequently, the students, accompanied by authorized workers, toured the premises, where they had to check not only individual technological procedures, but also the application of hygiene principles in the production of a wide range of confectionery. During the visit, the Partner highlighted the latest trends in food quality evaluation driven by new technologies and promoted the “FOOD Quality in the Digital Age” initiative.
