Regional stakeholders event within the “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” project in Serbia!

On Saturday, November 23 rd , 2024 a team of 1 researcher and 2 PhD students from the Department of Food Technology at the University of Belgrade presented the aims and outcomes of the project „FOOD Quality in the Digital Age” to representatives of the private sector from the Winery Deurić and other interested parties during a dedicated stakeholders
event.

During the project presentation, researchers and PhD students shared their contributions to the project, emphasizing the advantages of international collaboration and the exchange of expertise. Professor Igor Tomašević provided an in-depth overview of national and international cooperation in digitalization, citing the partnership between five countries under the „FOOD Quality in the Digital Age” project as a notable example. He also discussed the applications of computer vision systems in winemaking, highlighting their benefits and limitations. The presentation concluded with a visit to the Deurić winery production facilities, recognized as the most modern and digitalized in Serbia.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
