The University of Belgrade-Serbia-FOOD Quality in Digital Age-five Universities-V4+region

The University of Belgrade, the biggest and the oldest public university in Serbia, is ranked among the 600 best higher education institutions by the so-called “Shanghai Ranking”. It maintains a variety of relations with cultural, scientific and educational institutions around the globe, promoting academic and student mobility, joint projects and study programs. The University takes active part in European programs (TEMPUS, FP7, CIP, Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, EUREKA, COST, IPA etc.), what makes it a valuable partner for cooperation. The Faculty of Agriculture covers all aspects of agricultural production and food technology. It consists of 29 departments with over 30 different laboratories. Its extensive educational experience and expertise in the development and successful application of the computer vision systems for food quality evaluation have found recognition in multiple peer reviewed publications.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
